Shree Kukke Subramanya Temple(Dakshina Kannada)

Shree Mookambika Temple (Kollur)

Kollur "Sri Kshetra" in Udupi district of Karnataka state is one of the seven abodes of salvation created by Parasurama. Sri Kshetra was established by Adi Shankaracharya. It is the abode of worshiping Goddess Shakti. Devi Mookambike is worshiped as Shakti deity here. Kaumasura, a monster or demon known as Muka, was killed in this field. Mookambika is the primordial Shakti and the linga incorporates "Mahakali", Mahalakshmi" and Maha Saraswati" on its left side. Adishakti in this form can be found only here. In Udbhavalinga form, Mookambike has Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva conjoined on the right side. A golden chain is dividing this Jyotirlinga into left and right parts. The left side of the linga represents Shakti and the right represents Shiva. Adi Shankara installed the idol of the Goddess in the "Srichakra Yantra". At 5.00 PM the "Nirmalya Puja" takes place and at that time devotees have the opportunity to see the Swayambhu Linga. Trikala Puja is performed daily in the temple. Thousands of devotees visit the temple to seek solace from their problems, pains and troubles or to offer their religious vows or to enjoy the natural scenic beauty of the surroundings.

Shree Yallammadevi Temple (Saundatti)

Sri Renuka Devi was the wife of sage Jamadagni and the mother of Parasurama, one of the ten incarnations of Vishnu. Goddess Renuka was a devout goddess and was known for her chastity and devotion to her husband. Many devotees from different regions come to the temple to worship Renuka-Yellamma during the Bharata full moon, Kartika month. After marrying sage Jamadagni, Devi Renuka is believed to have settled in this place. This temple is considered as Shakti Peetha as a holy place.Mother Renuka (wife of sage Jamadagni) was beheaded by his own son Parasurama. Parasurama received a boon from sage Jamadagni and endured rebirth.

Shree Vinayaka Swamy Temple (Jayanagar)

The Shree Temple is a human statue that dates back to the 20th century and is a 44 year old temple. The main deity of the temple is Sri Vinayakaswamy. There are also Navagraha Sannidhi, Nagadevaru, and Mrityanjaya Swamy Sunnidhi in the temple. Devotees come to the Shree Temple for planetary troubleshooting, debasement and Naga troubleshooting. The Shree Temple is famous for its Abhisheka, Kadubina sevas and various decorations. It is also famous for its location glory. Every day, there are various kinds of decorations for the original deity in the Shree Temple, the Sankashtaharana Chaturthi, Anniversary, Swarnagauri Puja, Vinayakar Chaturthi in every month. Inside the shrine, there is a People tree, surrounded by a cobra stone. And the Bottom of the People tree has elephant trunk shapes. The Vinayaka Swamy of Sri Temple is carved in monolith. There are also 32 stone carvings of Ganesha statue along with the temple tower. The temple is surrounded by four ancient doors with 32 Ganesha carvings on each door. Devotees at the Shree Temple offering Abhisheka, Kadubina seva and decoration to Lord Vinayaka Swamy for their error and good results.

Shree Someshwara Swamy Temple (Halasuru)

Shree Someshwara temples were built by the Chalukyas of Kalyani in Karnataka. During that period, we see Tamil inscriptions as a few Mudaliars were settled. These Mudaliars, originally Tulu speaking, had settled in parts of TN especially Arcot. The temple is being managed by the Muzarai department. King Jayappa Gowda (1420-1450 CE) from a minor dynasty of the Yelahanka Nada Prabhus was hunting in a forest near the present Halasuru area, when he felt tired and relaxed under a tree. In a dream, a man appeared before him and told him that a linga was buried under the spot where he was sleeping. He was instructed to retrieve it and build a temple. Jayappa found the treasure and initially built the temple out of wood. Another account attributes the temple to the Chola Dynasty with later renovations made by the Yelahanka Nada Prabhus.The Kamakshi temple was built by the Mysore Maharajas. However, even before them, Adi Shankaracharya established a Shri Chakra there.

The Nanjundeshwara Temple (also called Srikanteshwara Temple) is an ancient temple dedicated to Shiva in the Hindu pilgrimage town of Nanjanagudu in Karnataka, India. The festivities in the fair include five colourful chariots pulled by devotes on a path called the Ratha beedi. Parasurama temple is near Nanjundeshwara temple. It is said that the legendary holy place is the abode of Shiva in southern India. It is also referred to as Dakshina Kashi or Dakshina Prayag, where the God had appeared at the plea of his devotees, the Devas and sage Narada. Nanju in Kannada means poison the name Nanjundeshwara means the "God who Drank the Poison" (halahala), a word that has its origins in the legend of the Great Churning of the Ocean of Milk; thus, the town got the name 'Nanjangudu' which means "the abode of the God Nanjundeshwara".The place is also called a papa vinashini – remover of sins. After bathing in the holy river of Kabini, every human praying to Lord Srikanteshwara or Nanjundeshwara (Shiva) of Nanjungud would be rid of sins and blessed by the god.

Shree Chikka Tirupati Temple (Maluru)

Chikka Tirupati (meaning 'Small Tirupathi' in Kannada, with reference to Tirupathi in Andhra Pradesh) is a Hindu temple dedicated to Venkateshwara, the Hindu god Vishnu. It is located in LAKKUR Hobli of Malur Taluk, in the outskirts of Bengaluru in the South Indian state of Karnataka. The legend of the place relates to the episode of Kandava Dahana in epic Mahabharata. During the Dahana, Takshaka escaped the forest with little injuries and he cursed Agni (the fire god) to lose his divinity. As suggested by Shiva, Agni prayed to Vishnu, here in this region and regained his status.As per another legend, the head of the village had a dream based on which the image of the presiding deity was dug out from a local pond. While carrying it in a bullock cart to the identified place where the temple was to be built, the cart broke in a place which is where the temple was built. As per historical records, the region was ruled by Gangas, Chola and Hoysala dynasties. During the times, the place was called Kanikaranahalli, which went on to become Kanakapura. An interesting part of this lord Venkateshwara idol is that it is an Abhayahastha (hand showing upwards as blessing) whereas in Tirupathi at Andhra Pradesh, the presiding deity's hand is showing downwards. The chariot festival has been of historic importance and draws crowd from neighbouring regions.
